Wednesday March 10, was set for a memorable event. Norkring België celebrated her 1st anniversary by inviting people from the business and media for a unique visit to the highest communication tower in Belgium, Sint-Pieters-Leeuw, which was entirely decorated for this occasion.
Celebrating 1 year
Norkring België was established on March 5th, 2009 . On this day Norkring België acquired all the former VRT broadcasting stations in Flanders & Brussels. The company is located in Evere, close to Brussels and the new and modern office houses 13 employees so far. By the end of 2010 they will be with +/- 30 people.
“Norkring België is meeting all our expectations for the first year of operation. We are now looking forward to the upcoming DTT launch in the autumn”, says a proud CEO of Norkring AS in Norway, Torbjørn Ø. Teigen.

140 high level contacts attended the celebrations together with management of both Norkring België and Norkring AS. This was a good opportunity for Bart Bosmans, the CEO of Norkring België, to finally present the company’s future vision and plans to the business, possible customers, government and the media.
Norkring België was also very proud to show a new commercial movie of the company to help Norkring answer the one question ’What does norkring do?’ to all people, with or without a technical background.
Kristien Boels, Management assistant, had the pleasure of welcoming the guests to a well planned evening at the tower Sint-Pieters-Leeuw. Live cooking and walking diner was on the menu together with live music entertainment in the Echo-room by Champ D’Action, a music band making use of the unique sounds of this environment.
